Our client is a large and well-established Food Research, Development and Analytical organisation. They are currently seeking an experienced professional in Regulatory Affairs to join their busy Services Department in Surrey.
Responsibilities:
·Providing advisory service to members and clients on labelling and alcoholic beverage legislation.
·Communication of labelling legislation by phone, email and when required external visits
·Maintain legislation and food safety databases for beer and alcoholic beverages
·Run an email newsletter on international labelling legislation for brewers.
·Providing support to the Membership and Regulatory Affairs team when required
·Assist with Horizon scanning (beer and wine) products.
The successful candidate will be educated to Degree level in Food Technology, Science or related area and will have practical knowledge of the food / beverage industry. You will be a strong communicator with a proven track record of interpreting and advising on relevant legislations. Must have experience in Regulatory Affairs to be considered for this role.

Regulatory Affairs Advisor
My client, an international chemical company, is looking for a Toxicology and Regulatory Affairs Advisor to join their team in the North West. The purpose of this role will be to provide support to both the toxicology and regulatory teams.
Key duties will include –
· Assisting the regulatory manager in ensuring that the company obtains worldwide regulatory clearances for new chemical substances, as well as maintaining awareness of any changes in regulations and analysing how these will affect, so to maximise the companies competitive advantage.
· Managing aspects of new product introduction activities, including the notification and registration of chemicals and existing products, to ensure timely product launches in line with regulatory constraints.
· Assisting with the management and provision of Hazard Communication Activities and the chemical abstract registry.
The ideal candidate should be –
· Experienced within delivering REACH projects, management and administration.
· Experienced working with current legislation and in regulatory affairs.
· Used to interfacing with both colleagues and external businesses.
· Experienced in handling aspects of several projects at once, so the ability to plan under pressure and allocate importance is essential.
· Knowledgeable using various IT programmes such as databases and spreadsheets.

Health and Safety Advisor – R&D
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor to join a leading Global Biotechnology business. Based at our clients Berkshire Research and Development site, this role will be primarily responsible for providing site based Health and Safety guidance and support.
The role:
With 550 employees across 3 sites in Berkshire, this role will be focussed on day to day Health and Safety and providing guideance and support to the activities being carried out on site. This will include responsibility for operation of the HS&E systems on the Slough site following the overall HS&E policies and strategies, providing HS&E guidance and support. Be the key person liaison to the company Employee Safety Representatives, supporting their tasks and training needs. Delivery of in-house training courses and workshops to compliment company procedures and policies. Actively supporting/ coordinating local management meetings – disseminating HS&E performance. Supporting the risk management system i.e. facilitating risk assessors and/or undertaking risk assessments personally and reviewing control measures in place.
You will lead the Radiation Safety Management System and support the life-safety systems, daily checks on compliance and overall management. Coordinating the company monitoring systems (Audit, Safety Observations and Accident reports) to ensure trends are identified and appropriate actions can be implemented. Provide Health and Safety advice across Laboratories, Chemical and Radiation hazards. Management of Biosafety risks utilising Risk Management techniques.
The Person:
To be considered for this role you should be and experienced Health and Safety professional with a background in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology or Chemicals industries. With experience of managing risks across Laboratories and Research & Development facilities. You will ideally hold a NEBOSH diploma with CMIOSH status, although consideration will be given to candidates who are currently studying towards a diploma.
You should also have the ability to communicate and influence at all levels of business.
